Desert City Rodders are holding our annual Goanna Run from 24th to 26th of October 2025. This unique local event continues to grow each year. As well as Hot Rods and Custom Cars, it incorporates the exciting lifestyle aspects including Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll, fashion and art. Many of Mildura’s businesses are playing an active role during the event and becoming an integral part of it.
In 2024 we saw 300 cars enter, with rodders from all over Australia enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and beautiful surrounds of Sunraysia. Around 10000 people came along to look at the cars in Feast Street on Saturday night and at the Show’n’Shine held at Nowingi Place on Sunday. We anticipate that this event will grow considerably again this year as entrant numbers are already on the rise and enquires from every state in Australia as this year marks 37 years of staging Goanna Run. There has also been a noticeable increase in numbers of people who are attending Goanna Run purely for its interactive lifestyle features.
Goanna Run is now established among the top 5 local Mildura major events and brings new people to Sunraysia, as well as bringing out many of the ‘locals. This event has the full support of Mildura Rural City Council Events Unit. Sponsorship plays an important part and is required to host the event.
