We are located in Mildura, Victoria and our members are located all over the Sunraysia district. Desert City Rodders was formed in February 1974. We have several social get-togethers throughout the year, and the members’s cars are shown at many local events and charity functions.
The Goanna Run is a much-loved annual event proudly hosted by the Desert City Rodders in Mildura, Victoria, celebrating the vibrant spirit of custom car culture. Each year, we welcome street rodders, car enthusiasts, families, and visitors from across the country for a weekend filled with chrome, character, and community.
The event showcases a spectacular lineup of hot rods, classic cars, and custom vehicles, drawing admiration from car clubs and collectors nationwide. The weekend program includes scenic cruises along the Murray, exclusive entrant events, the lively Saturday night Feast Street, a Rock ‘n’ Roll and Fashion Parade, and the ever-popular Show ‘n’ Shine at Nowingi Place—a standout attraction for both locals and tourists.
With live music, market stalls, children’s entertainment, food trucks, and event merchandise, the Goanna Run offers something for everyone. More than just a car show, it’s a fun-filled weekend and a fantastic opportunity to explore the best of Mildura’s hospitality and riverfront charm.
